Three Rwandan referee technical and fitness instructors departed yesterday to Morocco aboard SN Brussels to attend the FIFA FUTURO III referee instructors’ course slated for October 26 to November 1 in Agadir.
The trio that includes Eric Ruhamiriza, Appollinaire Munyangoga and Gustave Barihe was invited by the World Football governing body (FIFA) and selected the local football body, FERWAFA. They will be joined by others from different African countries.
The FIFA FUTURO III referee instructors’ course is for referee technical instructors and referee fitness instructors, who after the course will be involved in the development of refereeing in their respective countries.
The one-week course will be conducted by seven FIFA instructors including Magassa Sidi from Mali, Hadqa Yahya from Morocco, Lim Kee Chong An Yan from Mauritius, Bultynck Jean Baptist from Belgium, Hannachi Boubaker from Tunisia, Benchabane Lakhdar from France and Gautier Perry from Belgium.
