Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has sent Djamal Mwiseneza and Evode Ngabotsinze to undergo advanced medical treatment in Morocco. The duo traveled to Morocco on Wednesdayafternoon aboard Qatar Airways.

They were expected to arrive in Casablanca yesterday.

Mwiseneza, 26 and Ngabotsinze, 18 will be undergoing medical treatment in Morocco as part of the partnership signed between FERWAFA and Morocco Royal Football Federation (RFMF) to treat Rwandan players with severe injuries.

Mwiseneza suffered a damaged knee ligament during a national league game against his former club Rayon Sports on February 22, in a match that ended 4-0 in favour of the army side while Ngabotsinze, a holding midfielder with Isonga FC, has been nursing knee injuries since last year.

The pair is expected to return back to Rwanda to continue with their rehabilitation on November 11.

Former Police striker Emmanuel ‘Crespo’ Sebanani and former Isonga defender Pacifique Uwimana are also scheduled to travel to Morocco for the treatment at a time yet to be disclosed.

The Morocco Royal Football Federation has also offered a ten-day training camp to Rwanda senior national team (Amavubi Stars) in preparation for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Libya set for next month, and 2016 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) which will be held in Rwanda.

Nzamwita in Egypt for CAF meet

FERWAFA president Vincent Nzamwita left for Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday evening to take part in a CAF Standing Committee meeting, which started on Thursday and will run until Sunday.

Nzamwita, who is a member of the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) committee, is expected to give a report on how far Rwanda has gone in terms of preparing for the 2016 CHAN finals tournament.

The draw for the Africa’s second biggest football competition will be held in Serena Hotel on November 18—the finals tournament is set for January 16 to February 7.

Besides hosts Rwanda, 15 other nations which will qualify for the finals tournament, will be known after this weekend’s final qualification matches.
