We don’t need a foreign coach for Amavubi

RE: "Amavubi dismal run worries coach” (The New Times, October 13).

To have a good national team you need to have good local teams and produce young and talented players. We unfortunately don’t have both in Rwanda and we spend too much money on the coach than grooming the national team.

At the moment, Rwanda doesn’t need an international coach. We have spent too much and yet we haven’t even moved an inch on the international scene. There are no results; we are every day nose-diving.

I think that what needs to be done is restructuring Rwanda Football Federation, or even start afresh so that we have a big team that will raise the national flag high wherever it goes.
