World Food Day is celebrated every year, designated for 16th October, which coincides with the date of founding of the Food Agricultural Organisation (FAO).
Member countries choose a date to recognise WFD between 16th and 30th October. The day is an opportunity to re-focus on the goals to eliminate hunger and poverty.
The day is an opportunity to refocus on the goals of eliminating hunger and poverty from among citizens of the world.
