Rayon Sports coach David Donadei has fired a warning shot at bitter rivals APR ahead of their much anticipated clash in the Azam Rwanda Premier League on Sunday afternoon at Amahoro National Stadium.

The Frenchman who joined the Blues last month on a one year deal said, "This is the biggest and most important match for Rayon Sports and our fans. We are preparing for it in the best way possible.”

He added, "It’s going to be a tough match. It’s important to win this game and stay in the title race because I believe that there will be three teams involved in the title race.”

Rayon Sport are 6th in the league with 8 points after two wins, two draws and a loss from six matches while Champions APR are in 3rd place with 10 points.

The Blues had a dismal season last year after finishing 14 points behind eventual champions APR, something that the club is keen to avoid this season after recruiting the French coach.

The Nyanza-based club last won a league trophy in 2013 under then coach Didier Gomes da Rosa.

APR, which also has a new coach in Emmanuel Rubona will be going into the game in confident mood after defeating Rayon Sports home and away last season. However form usually doesn’t count much in such games.
