Rwandan referees Hudu Munyemana and Théogène Ndagijimana have been picked for the upcoming FIFA/CAF elite A referees course slated for November 1-6, in Cairo- Egypt.

The development was confirmed yesterday by Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) secretary general Olivier Mulindahabi.

The top flight league officials will join other selected referees and assistant referees from the continent in Cairo for the six-day high level refereeing course.

Ndagijimana is currently officiating the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile while Hudu Munyemana is a veteran referee who has officiated several international CAF and FIFA matches both at club and national level.

24 referees and 24 assistant referees from different African countries will be brought up to speed with the latest FIFA trends in interpretation and application of the laws of the game.

Laws of the Game (LOG) to be focused on during the course include handball, penalty area incidents, tactical fouls, severity of offenses, tactical approach, reading of the game, preventive refereeing, match incidents video analysis, keep the decisions simple, group discussions and feedback, integrated training sessions and instant feedback of match situations.

Towards the closure, an assessment will be conducted, focusing on three main areas namely health, fitness and technical assessment respectively.

The match officials will be updated on the new amendments in LOG and will climax with CAF unveiling an updated list of 2016 candidates.
