After a two-week break, the Azam Rwanda Premier League returns today when AS Muhanga host AS Kigali at Muhanga regional stadium seeking to register their first league win of the season.

League newcomers AS Muhanga are yet to win in the topflight division after four rounds of matches and find themselves bottom of the table with a solitary point. They face second-placed AS Kigali, who have 8 points, two behind leaders Police FC who will square-off with Rayon Sports on Saturday.

AS Muhanga coach Edouard Rutayisire admits his team’s poor start to the 2015/16 campaign, after losing three and drawing one, but insists they will go into today’s game hoping to kick-start their campaign with a shock win over Eric Nshimiyimana’s side.

"It’s no secret that we are having a difficult start in the league but I’m confident we can do better and we will. We have to put all our disappointments behind, focus on one game at a time, starting tomorrow (today) against AS Kigali,” Rutayisire told Times Sport on Thursday.

He also noted that, "We had little time to prepare for first division football, even the team management was not ready, which is why our confidence level is still low but we are working on it together as a team.”

The 2013 Peace Cup finalists AS Muhanga alongside Rubavu-based Etincelles were given wild cards to return to the topflight division league two weeks before its kick-off to complete the 16-team format as required by Azam, the league sponsors.

Elsewhere, today, Sports Club Kiyovu host Marines FC at Mumena stadium with both sides looking for their second win of the season.
