A kilograme of Irish potatoes increased by Rwf70 from Rwf280 last week to Rwf350 in Kimironko and Nyarugenge markets respectively.
Prices of other foodstuffs, including bananas also increased with a kilogramm4 of fresh pea’s increasing to Rwf1, 400 up from Rwf1200 in Nyabugogo Market,
Julius Mugunga, a trader in Nyabugogo said the prices of fresh beans currently cost between Rwf400 to Rwf500 while 25-kg bag of maize flour goes for Rwf12, 000 and Rwf14, 000 respectively.
Cassava flour costs between Rwf350 to Rwf540 while a medium sized tin of Carrots costs between Rwf500 to Rwf700 per kilo and cabbages Rwf500.
A kilogramme of sweet potatoes costs between Rwf300 to Rwf350 per kilogramme in Kicukiro and Nyamirambo markets respectively.
Milk costs between Rwf400 to Rwf500 per litre in and around Kigali City while a kilogramme of beef costs from2, 700 per kilogramme in Zinia Market and Batsinda market.
Aline Uwamahoro said passion fruits costs between Rwf1, 400 and Rwf1, 600 per kilo while pineapples cost between Rwf500 to Rwf700 and mangoes Rwf1, 700 a kilo.
