SC Kiyovu’s Azam Rwanda Premier League campaign will stay on course despite the absence head coach Innocent Seninga, who has gone for a two-month training course in Switzerland.

Seninga flew to Lausanne on Wednesday evening for Cercile International de sport de lite course organized by the Swiss FA in partnership with FIFA and is meant for national team coaches. Seninga is the assistant coach of the national women’s team, She-Amavubi.

The beneficially coaches will obtain a Level 3 International Diploma of Excellency. Currently, he holds a postgraduate specialist trainer degree from Leipzig university of Germany.

In an interview with Times Sport, SC Kiyovu secretary general Elie Manirarora revealed that the club will not be affected by Seninga’s absence. Aloys Kanamugire, who is one of the club’s technical directors, has been appointed care-taker coach.

"We welcomed this opportunity for him to go for further training, it’s an advantage for the club and the country at large because he will be a better coach when he returns,” said Manirarora.

Regarding the void that Seninga, who took over as head coach just before the start of this season, has left and how the club would cope without him, Manirarora noted that, "There is nothing to worry about because the acting coach (Kanamugire) can do the job.”

The former Isonga FC tactician will miss Kiyovu’s next six league games against Musanze FC, Marines, AS Kigali, Etincelles, Mukura and Police.

He leaves the Mumena-based Green Baggies in fifth position in the Azam Rwanda Premier League table with five points (one win and two draws) after three rounds of matches.
