Stage 6 - Yamoussoukro › Yamoussoukro (100km)

The 2015 All Africa Games gold medal winner Hadi Janvier will be seeking to continue his winning momentum when he leads Rwanda Cycling team in the Tour de Côte d’Ivoire which will take place from Sunday September 27 till Friday  October 2.

The team of six riders left Kigali on Thursday afternoon ahead of the six-day, six stage race.

Before departure, Hadi said: "Our target is to win this competition and I am confident that the team can do it.  We (riders) have got a winning mentality. We have been doing well in many races and in training.”

The six riders include; Hadi (Benediction Club), Joseph Biziyaremye (Cine Elmay), Patrick Byukusenge (Benediction Club), Camera Hakuzimana (Benediction Club), Joseph Aleluya (Amis Sportifs) and Jeremie Karegeya (Cine Almay).

The six-stage race covers a total  distance of 541km and the opening stage will start in the north-central region of Ivory Coast Dabakala to Katiola, a total distance of 90km.

The second stage will be the shortest race with a total of 37km from Bouake to Sakassou in the same Vallee du Bandama district before the third stage from Bouake to Daoukro, which is the longest stage covering 164 kilometers.

Stage four is from M’bahiakro to Bouake (90km) before the riders compete in stage five the next day from Yamoussoukro to Bouafle (60km). The last stage is a circuit within Yamoussoukro covering a total distance of 100km. The team will be under Felix Sempoma, who guided Rwanda to a historic achievement at the just concluded All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville.
