All roads lead to Hotel Milles Collines this Saturday for the third annual edition of the Rwanda Cultural Fashion Show.
Auditions started in June and after screening over one hundred models, forty were selected to participate in the event. Out of the 40, 29 are from Rwanda, 7 from Burundi and 4 from Kenya.
This edition is targeting a class that is different from last year’s edition which took place at Petit Stade.
"We have several targets including promoting young and talented models, creating a platform where designers can market their items, but above all, the Rwanda Cultural Fashion Show is now recognized by Ministry of Sports and Culture (MINISPOC) as an annual event,” said the organiser Celestine Ntawirema.
A notable novelty this year is that the event will be categorized into two, the exhibition and fashion show. Under exhibition, designers will showcase their crafts on stalls from where some will even be sold. The fashion show is the usual where models showcase different designs.
The show will start at 2:00pm with an exhibition, followed by a fashion show from 6:30pm to 10: pm.
