The Painkillers, a freshly minted band comprising three teenage artistes, is set to take the Rwanda music scene by storm. Despite being relatively new on the scene, Innocent Nshimiyimana, Sandra and Reddy Nshuti Rodrigue have already won over a number of fans because of the socially conscious messages in their songs such as, A new day, Brave, Kera, and The way you make me feel.
The group was was formed last year when Nshimiyimana invited his friend Nshuti to join him. The duo later recruited Sandra; the only female in the group, to give more edge to their music. The band focuses on rap and beat music genres.
Fans can look forward to seeing the young stars on camera since the group is working on producing videos to accompany all their audio tracks.
According to Nshuti, three videos are set to be released as early as next week.
"Champion, Blame and Queen of hearts are the new video tracks we shall be releasing,” Reddy says.
This Friday, ‘The Pain Killers’ will give a free performance at Glory Secondary School.
