Former Amavubi international Jimmy Mulisa has been appointed as the new head coach of the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) owned Isonga FC, Times Sports has learnt.
Former Amavubi international Jimmy Mulisa has been appointed as the new head coach of the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) owned Isonga FC, Times Sports has learnt.
The football gorverning body has also appointed him to double as FA assistant technical director and Amavubi advisor.
Until his appointment, Mulisa was Sunrise head coach.
"I have been appointed as head coach of Isonga and I will work as Amavubi advisor and assistant technical director. I am happy because that is the job I like,” Mulisa told Times Sport.
FERWAFA is yet to name the technical director who will be assisted by Mulisa but it will be either Michael Wise or Dominique Niyonzima to replace Lee Johnson who resigned on April 15.
Mulisa, who was a member of the Rwanda squad that participated in the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia, ended his professional football career at the end of last year with T-Team FC of Malaysia where he made 15 appearances and scored eight goals.
The 31-year-old, and former APR forward started his football career at APR in 2002 where he spent three years, making 41 appearances and scoring 16 goals.
