Zimbabwe head coach Baltermar Brito is convinced he selected a group of good players for the country’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Nigeria.
The Warriors are traveling to Huye for the two crucial matches where they will face Rwanda on November 15 at Huye Stadium before using the same ground to host Nigeria on November 20.

Prior to their trip to Huye, Brito told Zimbabwean media that, "I am delighted with the team that I have assembled for the World Cup qualifiers. After analysing each player, it is evident that we have exceptional talents who will be valuable assets to the team.”
The players will undoubtedly carry the burden of expectations on their shoulders ahead of the double header in Huye but Brito keeps faith and confidence in their "exceptional abilities” with which, he said, they have the potential to overcome any challenges that come their way.
Besides Rwanda and Nigeria, Zimbabwe will also play Benin, South Africa and Lesotho within the same qualifying group.
