According to Gicumbi head coach Emmanuel Ruremesha, the duo that includes David Dihabwe and Rashid Mutebi put pen on paper on Friday after impressing while on trials.
Mutebe, who crossed from KCCA, signed a two-year contract while Dihabwe, who has been featuring for Victoria University, was offered one-year deal with an option to extend it at the end of the upcoming season.
"Mutebe and Dihawe are two good strikers, who I expect to add a lot to our striking line to achieve our target of finishing in the top four. Last season, we finished 6th, but I believe we can improve and finish in a higher position,” former Espoir FC trainer Ruremesha told Times Sport on Monday.
He also disclosed that two senior players namely; skipper Aimable ‘Mambo’ Rucogoza and Jean de Dieu Uwineza have renewed their contracts by one year.
Last season, Gicumbi FC, who finished on sixth position in the 14-team league table standing with 36 points from 26 league matches, kick off the new campaign at home against Abdul ‘Beken’ Bizimana’s Amagaju FC on Saturday
