APR handball club resume their league title chase when they take on bottom of the table Groupe Scolaire Rambura today in Rubavu just over two weeks after winning the 2015 East African Community Military games trophy last month in Uganda.

APR, who lag 12 points behind table leaders Police albeit having played three games less, are keen to win their games in hand to close the gap and maintain the pressure on the reigning champions before the two teams meet next month in what could be a title decider.

"We have been lucky to play the military games and win the tournament, it has given us more confidence and motivation which we need to apply in the national league,” APR coach Anaclet Bagirishya said on Friday.

Elsewhere today, fourth-placed College Inyeramihigo with 26 points, will be up against third-placed ES Kigoma (33 points) in Muhanga ground before taking on ES Urumuri (20 points) at 12pm. With four matches left, Police lead the table with 48 points.
