Rayon Sports host newcomers Rwamagana this afternoon in a friendly match at Muhanga Stadium.
The friendly will serve as a warm-up for both sides ahead of the 2015/16 campaign set to start on September 18.
The friendly match is aimed at testing new signings and getting players before the new season starts, according to Rayon interim coach Sosthene Habimana.
"This is a good opportunity, especially for the new players at the club. Playing league debutants (Rwamagana) is helpful as we try to get back to regular playing rhythm ahead of the new season,” said Habimana.
He noted that he will use all players but also try to win the game citing that victory would boost the players confidence.
The Nyanza-based outfit will also have another friendly encounter against Ibanga Sports de Bukavu of DR Congo on Sunday but the venue (between Mumena and Kicukiro stadiums) was yet to be decided by press time.
Rayon Sports has lost key players, including Djihad Bizimana and Faustin Usengimana to archrivals APR this summer, and another quartet, including Aphrodis Hategekimana (Tusker FC), Fuadi Ndayisenga (Sofapaka), Karim Nizigiyimana and Abouba Sibomana to Gor Mahia of Kenya.
