A number of the teams are reinforcing their squads before the new volleyball season begins in December with Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and newcomers Kepler among the busiest in the transfer business.
After winning the 2023 league title, Gisagara is facing a mass exodus with setter Sylvestre Ndayisaba, center Ronald Muvara and Samuel Niyonshima leaving departing the club for REG and APR respectively.

Ndayisaba and Muvara, who play a key role in the Gisagara’s title glory, completed their move to REG where they penned a two-year deal each while Niyonshima joined APR after two successful seasons with the Southern Province-based side.
REG is undergoing a massive squad rebuild to fill the vacant spots left by national team captain Ivan Mahoro Nsabimana and Jean Baptiste Tuyizere who left for newcomers Kepler and center Emmy Twagirayesu who joined Police VC.
The club may also lose Cameroonian duo Auguste Marecha and Guiondong Marcel who are considering their future elsewhere.
Meanwhile, after signing Twagirayesu, Police could also secure the services of Burundian Pacifique Iradukunda as talks over a move to the law enforcers are in advanced stages.
According to local Volleyball governing body, the new volleyball league season will start in December. Gisagara VC were crowned champions of the won the league last weekend, beating APR, Police and REG to the title.
They will represent Rwanda at the 2024 African club championship.
