The pair is in intensive training in Rubavu (Palm Beach) together with their female counterparts, Denyse Mutatsimpundu and Charlotte Nzayisenga.
The men’s team is under the tutelage Alexis Mbaraga while women’s team is being trained by Damascente Murengenzi.
Ndamukunda told this paper that they want to be among the best three teams in Africa.
"We both know we are capable of doing better in such competitions, we will give our best, we want to raise the flag of our nation by finishing among the best three teams in Africa,” Ndamukunda said in a telephone interview.
The 28-year-old APR star added that, "We have been training a lot for the last few weeks and this has given us confidence of winning the competition; however we won’t take anything for granted.”
The Rwandan team will travel to Brazzaville on September 2.
The tournament will feature the top 24 teams in Africa include Kenya, Egypt, South Africa, host Congo Brazzaville, Burundi, Ghana, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Benin, Algeria, Tunisia, Sierra Leone, Senegal among others.
