Ndoli returns to Amavubi fold

Rwanda vs Ghana, Live on SupersportVeteran goalkeeper Jean Claude Ndoli has been included in the 26-man provisional squad to face Ghana in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Kigali on September 7.

The 28-year old custodian will return to the Amavubi fold for the first time in 13 months following a career-threatening knee injury in the 2-0 loss to Congo Brazzaville in the AFCON 2015 qualifying campaign.

"Wow, this is a surprise call-up. I am very excited to be back in the national team and I am looking forward to the challenge,” said the delighted Ndoli in an interview.

Foreign-based players including captain Haruna Niyonzima, debutant Quentin Rushenguziminega (Lausanne Sport), Emery Bayisenge (Lask Linz), Salomon Nirisarike (Saint Truiden), Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza (Azam) and Abouba Sibomana (Gor Mahia) have been included in the squad.Amavubi provisional squad
