Rwanda’s Ernest Habiyambere beat Kenya’s Reuben Njunguna in straight sets 4-0, 4-0 yesterday to reach the quarter-finals of the ongoing FEASSSA Games in Huye. He will now face defending champion Boris Aguma of Uganda in the semi-finals.
The Brookside East African Post-Primary (FEASSSA) Games kicked off on August 16 and will run up to August 24 in Huye and Gisagara Districts, Southern Province.
The 16-year old Habiyambere acknowledged that he expects a tough challenge against Aguma, who defeated compatriot Prince Rutenta 4-0, 4-0.
There were wins for hosts Rwanda in the boys’ basketball, ETANI, who beat Lubiri SS of Uganda 56-55 but APE Rugunga lost narrowly 56-54 to Kenya’s Upper Hill.
