The second celebration of the Uganda night was highly boosted by the presence of Juliana Kanyomozi, one of the highly acclaimed songstresses in Uganda today.

The partying, held on Friday at Kigali Serena hotel, also saw the Ugandan community celebrate their country’s 46th independence anniversary.

The night branded ‘Uganda Night’ was intended to bring Ugandans living in Rwanda together. A number of top officials attended the party.

The presence of the Ugandan diva; Juliana gave no respect to the dressing code. Every Seki…., Kibu…. and Naka…. shook what his/her mum gave her to Uganda lyrics and rhythms.

The three times Pearl of Africa Music Award (PAM) winner rocked that crowd of about 600 people as she sang songs from her new albums.

She is an ever-good performer who is loved by the young and aged.

The crowd had had dinner with drinks of different definitions; a variety of soft drinks and liquors flowing from all directions of the hotel terrace.

She sang a couple of songs to the best of her ability, as fans cheered and sang with her in Luganda.

The remix of Gwe wange—originally owned by Philly Bongole Lutaaya, brought back memories of the Ugandan musician (Philly) who rocked in the 1980s.

When she uttered Kibaluma, a Luganda word, for ‘it hurts them’, people turned wild with joy.

Kanyibe (let me sing) was another song that saw many spiritually lifted.

However, the most exciting moment of all, was when four members from the crowd were randomly selected [two men and two women] to come and jig with her, the famous charcoal dance.

She awarded each of them a copy of her new album "Kanyimbe” as a way of appreciation.

The event was culminated with Kinyarwanda oldies (orchestra Impala) that left no one seated. It looked as if it was a dancing competition.
