Former Amavubi midfielder Thierry Hitimana will attend a level B coaching course scheduled for September 7-25 at the Hennef Sports Centre in Germany.
The International Coaching Course (B Level) for qualified coaches is organized by the Germany Football Federation (DFB).
The 36-year-old already has a CAF C and B Licences and a FIFA High Level Coaching Course and has been a coach for the last 12 years.
"I am happy for this opportunity and I am looking forward to learn more, I believe I will get more knowledge to help me improve and develop as an international coach,” Hitimana said.
Hitimana worked with Amavubi head coach Johnny McKinstry with the U-23 team during the CAF and 2016 Olympic Games qualifiers against Somalia and Uganda.
He formerly worked as assistant coach of U-23 national team from 2012 to 2015 and at club level, he was Rayon Sports assistant coach from 2003-2015 under different coaches.
"Hitimana was chosen among the very many applicants after being fronted by the Rwanda Coaches Association,” said the Rwanda Football Federation’s secretary general, Jean Olivier Mulindahabi.
The three-week course will include 50 percent theory and 50 percent practicalS. The content is similar to DFB B & A licence.
