Newly promoted Bugesera FC have completed the signing of former Rayon Sports goalkeeper, Gerald Bikorimana on a free transfer two-year contract until end of the 2016/17 season.
Speaking to Times Sport yesterday, Bikorimana confirmed the move that will earn him Rwf2.5m and the club has already paid him Rwf2m with the balance to be paid before the end of the league first round.
"I am excited because I have spent almost two years at Rayon Sports but without playing on first team regularly, however, in my contract with Bugesera, I have been handed the first choice goalkeeper role and I look forward to prove myself,” he said.
Bikorimana joined Rayon Sport in 2012 from Nyanza FC on a one-year contract and in 2013 he extended the contract to 2015.
The Nyamata-based club have also signed Burundian center forward Michel Ndikumana on a two-year contract from Burundian league side Inter-star FC.
Ndikumana scored 14 goals in Burundi Ligue A with Vital’O FC in 2014 before joining Inter-star FC in the second phase where he scored only 9 goals.
Meanwhile, the club is in advanced talks with former Amavubi Star right-back Elias Ntaganda and striker Andre Lomami after the duo was released by Espoir FC at the end of last season.
