GASABO - Rwanda Information Technology Authority (RITA) Friday announced nominees for the first Intego Information Communication Technology (ICT) awards at a press conference held at Telecom house.

Nkubito Bakuramutsa, Executive Director RITA (Appointed Wednesday as Deputy Chief Executive Officer Rwanda Development Board in charge of ICT), made this announcement yesterday at a press conference that marked the start of a landmark event for the ICT sector in Rwanda.

According to the list of nominees provided by RITA, there are 16 categories and in every category there are five nominees.

Voting for the nominees will commence today and will constitute votes from a panel of judges and the public. The public popular vote will constitute 30 percent and the panel of Judges’ vote 70 percent
