Ambassador Rutabana presents credentials to Israel president

The Rwandan ambassador to Israel, Col. Joseph Rutabana, presented his credentials to President Reuven Rivlin on Thursday.

The Rwandan ambassador to Israel, Col. Joseph Rutabana, presented his credentials to President Reuven Rivlin on Thursday.

The ceremony was held at the President’s Residence.

Rutabana was accompanied by his family and the first secretary, Gashegu Niyirora.

Welcoming Rutabana, President Rivlin said: "I am delighted to welcome you here as the resident ambassador of your country to Israel. We have excellent relations between our countries, and we see in Africa a promising future. There is no doubt that your arrival will strengthen our future cooperation.”

Rutabana in turn thanked the President for the warm welcome.

"It is a great honour for me to come to the holy land as a resident ambassador of my country. We look forward to strengthening the already existing excellent cooperation between our countries. Israel has enjoyed tremendous economic development and provides a wonderful example for Rwanda,” he said.
