All is set for the third season of the now annual dance competition, the Summer Dance Show. Slated for Friday, August 7 at the Sports View Hotel in Remera, the competition will feature solo dancers and dance crews from host country Rwanda, and Uganda, Canada, Burundi and the Congo DR.
All is set for the third season of the now annual dance competition, the Summer Dance Show.
Slated for Friday, August 7 at the Sports View Hotel in Remera, the competition will feature solo dancers and dance crews from host country Rwanda, and Uganda, Canada, Burundi and the Congo DR.
Some of the local dance crews that will participate include; The Krest Crew, Jabba Junior, Snipers Dance Crew, Phantomz Crew, the Connectors, B-Boy Cypher, Afro Kassa and the Intore Group, among others.
Solo acts from Rwanda include Poppin Chris, Yung T, Dance Machine Heskey, Jimmy, Abdul M, Cheur, and BBoy Addisy.
Summer Dance Rwanda was created in 2013 by dancer and choreographer Christian Hirwa, the founder of the Krest Crew.
It aims to promote young talent in Rwanda, and collaboration with other dancers from the East African region.
"This event is a good way for youth of Rwanda to meet and share with other artists around the world,” said Hirwa.
The event will run from 3pm- 9pm and, tickets go for Rwf3000 and Rwf5,000.
