Rwanda men’s national volleyball team has turned focus to the upcoming All Africa Games which will be held in Congo Brazzaville from 2-19 September.
Paul Bitok’s team finished in sixth position at the just concluded 2015 Men's African Nations championship at Cairo Stadium complex in Egypt.
Bitok said "The All African Games will still be tough because Algeria and Cameroon were at a very good level here in this competition, we are in the same group and that means we have extra work to do in the next few weeks.”
"We beat Cameroon at their place in January 2014 and if we prepare ahead of time I believe we can harm them again. We want to start early preparations because we need to be at top level in time for the All Africa Games,” the Kenyan trainer noted.
Meanwhile, African giants Egypt claimed their eighth African championship title after they overcame archrivals Tunisia 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-21) in the final of the 2015 Men's African Nations Championship on Thursday.
Morocco took home bronze after they topped Algeria 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-21, and 25-20) in the third place match.
