Cameroon humiliated Rwanda 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-17) in their last Pool B match at the Men's African Nations Championship at the Cairo Stadium Complex in Egypt, yesterday.

National team captain Christophe Mukunzi hailed his teammates even though they missed out on the semi finals."We gave our best to win the match but we failed. Cameroon is a strong team. Everyone gave his best but we failed to go through to the semi finals.”

"We are going to concentrate on our next games (position matches). We know we will face other strong teams but we have to give our best to win them, which will improve our ranking position.”

Rwanda will be fighting for the fifth position with the other teams that failed to reach the semifinals including Kenya and Botswana among others.

Morocco, Egypt, Cameroon and Algeria are the four teams that have qualified for the semifinals of the continental tournament

Rwanda only managed one win against Mauritius 3-0 but fell to Tunisia 3-0 (25-19, 25-11, 25-12) and also lost to Morocco 3-0.

The tournament is a qualifier for the 2015 FIVB Men's World Cup to be in Japan from September 8-23.
