It has been coming lately and finally, Rayon Sports midfielder Djihad Bizimana has completed a two-year move to archrivals APR for Rwf6 million, Sunday Sport has established.

The 20-year old midfield maestro confirmed the move last evening and revealed his excitement at joining the reigning league champions.

The army side is currently preparing for the upcoming CECAFA Kagame Cup in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and will also represent Rwanda in the 2016 CAF Champions League.

"I am very excited about joining APR. It is the most successful club in Rwanda and I want to do my best to inspire the team to win more trophies,” said Bizimana.

The Rubavu-born player started his career at Etincelles in his hometown in January 2012 and went on to play the full 2012/2013 season before joining Rayon Sports where he has been for two seasons.

Bizimana will replace Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza who completed his move to Tanzanian side Azam FC earlier this week.

Bizimana follows in the footsteps of his uncle Haruna Niyonzima, the current national team captain who currently plies his trade for Yanga in Tanzania as well as Djamal Mwiseneza, Albert Ngabo and Labama Bokota as players who swapped the Blues for the Black and White in some of the most dramatic transfer moves in Rwandan football.
