AS Muhanga believe they can turn tables against La Jeunesse when the two teams face-off in the quarter-finals return leg of the second division league playoffs this afternoon at Mumena stadium, Nyamirambo.
The Muhanga-based side lost 2-1 in the first leg at Muhanga stadium on Wednesday however, head coach Felix Mbonyizana thinks they can defy odds and qualify for the semi-finals and possibly the final as they bid to return to the top flight division league next season.
Mbonyizana admits that it is going to be tough to overturn the 2-1 deficit against a strong side like La Jeunesse but he is confident his men are capable of doing what many believe is impossible.
"We have a huge task on our hands; we need to beat La Jeunesse by a 2-goal margin for us to advance to semi-finals. We made mistakes in the first leg and we paid for it but I am confident we can do a lot better in the return leg tomorrow,” Mbonyizana said yesterday.
Elsewhere, Bugesera, who won the first leg encounter 1-0 host Nyagatare at Nyamata grounds, Rwamagana visit ASPOR at Kicukiro stadium also seeking to maintain the 1-0 lead while Sorwathe take on United Stars at Kinihira playgrounds leading 1-0 from the first leg.
