Burundian striker Pierrot Kwizera scored a hat-trick as Captain Fuadi Ndayisenga, Djabel Imanishimwe and Peter Otema completed the routing to set up a date with Rubavu-based side Etincelles FC in the last eight clash.
In the other game, champions APR made light work of Bugesera when they netted four past the second division side to register a 4-0 victory at the Ferwafa Ground.
Michel Ndahinduka scored against his former side with striker Issa Bigirimana and central defenders Abdul Rwatubyaye and Herve Rugwiro completing the routing to book a berth against Gicumbi.
Elsewhere, Innocent Habyarimana scored the winning goal in the second half to guide Police FC to a much needed 2-1 victory over Sunrise FC.
The law enforcers took the lead in the first half through striker Idisbaridi Nshuti but Jean d’Amour Bonane equalized to give hope to the Rwamagana-based side. However, Habyarimana’s goal sealed victory for Andre Cassa Mbungo’s side.
"It was not an easy game but we managed to win. We played against a strong team but our discipline saw us through despite the many injuries we have,” explained Mbungo.
Police will meet SC Kiyovu in what is expected to be a thriller between the two giant clubs.
