The annual concert in honour of Father Fraipont Ndagijiman, the founder of one of the oldest rehabilitation centers in Rwanda, is on tomorrow, at the Kigali Serena Hotel.
The Friday concert will be headlined by some of the country’s leading singers like Jean Baptiste Byumvuhore, Ben Kipeti Ngabo and Mani Martin.
According to the organisers, this will be the 33rd tribute anniversary for the founder of Home de la Vierge des Pauvres (HVP) Gatagara. The center was started in 1962; it treats people living with disabilities and trains them in various income generating activities.
Assouman Hitimana, one of the organisers, confirmed the concert and said that preparations were in the final stages, with all the artistes ready to perform. A fundraising will be carried out during the show to support the centre. Performances start at 6p.m with the entrance fee of Rwf10,000.
