Editor,
Reference is made to the article, "New PSF Chief Executive places competitiveness, branding top of agenda” (The New Times, June 15).
In the interview, Stephen Ruzibiza, the new PSF CEO, says, thus, "product/service quality and competitiveness coupled with proper and appealing packaging is the indeed key”.
To Mr Ruzibiza, what are you going to do about dairy products that must be only packaged in polythene materials for them to retain their quality as well as safety since the use of such materials is currently illegal?
On your priority list, can PSF include fast-tracking initiation of drafting a Prime Minister’s Order referred to in the anti-polythene law that allows some sensitive products (eg flours, meat, dairy products) to be packaged in the same materials?
Thank you.
