At least 123 riders are present on the start line of the much-awaited 2023 Rwandan Epic which kicks off in Kigali on Tuesday, October 31 and runs through November 4 in Rubavu.
The race sets off from the prologue (Kigali-Kigali) which covers a distance of 15Km.
According to organisers, 68 riders will compete in duo teams while 21 are solo riders. At least 20 countries including Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, France, England, Italy, Kenya, Nigeria, Holland, Sweden, Slovenia, Sierra Leone, United States, Zambia and host nation Rwanda are all represented in the race.

The race has attracted a number of Rwandan cycling figures including Moise Mugisha Didier Munyaneza who will compete in in men elite race while Tour du Burundi winners Diane Ingabire and Valentine Nzayisenga are vying for another crown in women elite race.
Veterans Nathan Byukusenge and Rafiki Uwimana are also among prominent contestants headlining the race.

During the race, participants will have the opportunity to explore Rwanda’s stunning landscapes as tourists at the end of each stage.

Stage 1 (prologue): October 31: Kigali – Kigali (15Km)
Stage 2: November 1: Rusiga Resort - Musanze Stadium (102Km)
Stage 3: November 2: Kinigi - Musanze, (73Km, 1600m+)
Stage 4: November 3: Kinigi - Kinigi (32Km, 400m+)
Stage 5: November 4: Nyabihu – Rubavu (62Km, 1400m+)
