Ezra Bunyenyezi finally got his hands onto the prestigious Mutzig monthly mug after winning Saturday’s September edition at Kigali Golf Club (KGC).

The ex-KGC president returned scores of 73net at the par-72 course, beating his closest challenger Marcel Byusa by one shot.

Despite the win, it was not a good day for the handicap 9 golfer who shot eight bogeys including a double bogey on the 18th hole.

Bunyenyezi now joins the likes of Marcel Byusa, Francois Rugomboka, Andrew Nkwandi, Jack Kayonga, Richard Gakuba, Phillip Jacob and Rajan Tiwari as winners of the monthly competition. In other subsidiary categories, Bhaviman Mukhia, Charles Gahima and Rawal Malvika were all winners.

Mukhia carded 69net in the (10-18) category, Gahima shot 74net in the (19-28) category while Malvika landed her first ever honors at the club after returning scores of 70net in the ladies section.

In the national team category, Claude Uwizeyimana rose to the occasion with 76net beating usual suspect Esther Mukagasana by two shots.
