Comedian Anne Kansiime jetted in the country yesterday afternoon for tomorrow’s highly anticipated Comedy show at the Kigali Serena Hotel.
The petite Ugandan comedian, who refers to herself as an interesting talker rather than a stand-up comedian, said that she is ready to give back the love she has been receiving from Rwandans on stage.
"I’m going to entertain, I will sing, I will dance and I will act. If it means tickling, everyone is going to laugh. I will ask you to advise your neighbour to laugh in case they miss the joke,” she said.
She cracked some ribs when asked if she would continue comedy once she becomes a mother.
"When I am pregnant, I will do it with all those hormones. I quarrel with Phillip (on screen husband in the Don’t Mess with Kansiime skits) when there are no hormones, imagine what will happen when I am pregnant,” she saysDon’t Mess with Kansiime, which usually airs on Citizen TV is currently temporarily off but can be followed on Maisha Magic East on DSTV.
Kansiime will share the stage with Burundi’s Kigingi, Comedian Arthur Nkusi and singer Hope Irakoze. Her show in Kigali is part of her 2015 world tour that started in Australia, in March.
