The conundrum of 'forced marriages'

I believe the legal age for marriage in Rwanda is too high. I must be the highest in the world. If the age limit was set at 21 to curb population growth, then, clearly, it would not produce the desired results.

Editor,

I believe the legal age for marriage in Rwanda is too high. I must be the highest in the world. If the age limit was set at 21 to curb population growth, then, clearly, it would not produce the desired results.

The only outcome will be what Rwandan law indiscriminately calls forced marriage. We will also continue to have too many unwanted pregnancies leading to loss of life in the process.
