Three-time reigning champions Espoir BBC and former champions APR Basketball Club lock horns this afternoon at Amahoro indoor stadium at 4pm in an epic encounter likely to bring out the best from each team.

The 2010 champions APR are second on the league log with 25 points, 2 points off league leaders Espoir and will be hoping to stun Jean Bahufite’s Espoir to move above them.

APR’s Kenyan coach Cliff Owuor said in a telephone interview with this paper that he has a youthful and less experienced side but believes winning against the defending champions is possible and they are going to do everything in their powers for a victory.

Espoir will be looking for a double after winning the first-leg.

In the women’s league, The Hoops Rwanda play seven-time champions APR Basketball Club on Sunday.
