The National U15 football team head coach Sosthene Lumumba Habimana is optimistic the junior side will give a good account of themselves in the November 4-18 CECAFA U15 Championships to be held in Uganda.
The team, which has been in camp since October 23 in preparation for the championships is scheduled to leave for Njeru on November 2, two days before kick-off.

"We had adequate preparations for this task (CECAFA U15 Championships), and I am confident that the players will give a good account of themselves. The players are improving every day, and they can only get better with time. But it takes time, which calls for patience,” said coach Habimana.

"They need time and I hope the more games they play the better. We want to do everything possible to reach far of the competition. That is why we started preparing early enough in order to perfect our game,” Musanze coach added.
The junior wasps are under the guidance of Sosthene Habimana who will be assisted by Justin Bisengimana while Calliope Kabalisa is the goalkeeper coach and Aimable Ntarengwa is the team manager.

A 23-player squad was called to join the camp which started with 20 players. Cedrick Mutangwa, Elie Ishimwe, and Abdouladhim Hategekimana will join the camp later as they represent the country at the Bayern Munich Youth Cup World Final that concluded in Munich, Germany on October 23.
The last CECAFA U15 edition was held in 2019 in Asmara, Eritrea. Uganda won the tournament after beating Kenya in the final.
