RAYON Sports have offloaded attacking midfielder Jerome Sina due to indiscipline, according to the club spokesperson Emmanuel Aimé Niyomusabye.
On April 25, the former Amavubi forward Sina was suspended after missing training for two weeks and was ordered to write a letter explaining his absence.
However, Niyonsabye said the Club Administration was not convinced with Sina’s explanation and decided to sack the controversial player who has had disciplinary problems with the Blues before.
"We have taken the decision to terminate his contract. We are not happy with his behavior and it is not the first time he has failed to follow club rules,” Niyonsabye said.
Sina refused to answer any questions when Times Sport called him before hanging up.
The 26-year-old still had one year left on his contract.
Meanwhile the club has also suspended young midfielder Robert Ndatimana after disappearing without permission.
Rayon Sports are currently 4th in the national football league with 37 points. The Blues have had a disappointing season and are likely to finish the season trophy-less if they don’t win the Peace Cup.
