Dear editor,
A stampede at a disco in central Tanzania that left at least 19 people dead, should be food for though for the people of Kigali who flock discotheques.

The stampede took place in the Tabora, the central region of Tanzania.

It all happened during an event organised as part of the Eid al-Fitr festivities that mark the end of the Muslim holy fasting month of Ramadan.

I take this example to warn Kigalians because the incident happened after a stampede that was caused by a commotion in the disco, typical of what is common in our disco halls.

There has been a number of chaos and commotions in our dancing halls, that internal security men only exacerbate.

I forewarn all those who go to such places to take extra caution, if they are to avoid the unfortunate Tanzanian tragedy.
