Refer to the story, "Burundian refugees resettled” (The New Times, April 24).

I think building more tents for refugees and resettling them in bigger locations is not the solution—this is like cutting off the shoot of a weed by leaving the roots in the garden.

The problem is Burundi and not the welfare of refugees in host countries. I do not think these men and women are happy however much hospitality is offered. Therefore, I am calling upon East African leaders, UN and other human rights groups, to avoid unnecessary procrastinations and take action to solve the problems in that poor country.
