Right back Fitina Ombalenga has extended his stay at SC Kiyovu after signing a new two- year contract on Friday which keeps him at the Nyamirambo-based side until 2017.
"It is good to extend the contract of our best players and we believe by the end of the season we will have more players with their contracts coming to an end, commit to Kiyovu,” said the club Spokesperson, Muddy Byumvuhore.
The team has also extended the deals of midfielder Abdul Karim Gashugi, defender Mukamba Namasombwa and goalkeeper Alexis ‘Bebe’ Ganza.
Byumvuhore added, "Our aim was to get their signature; now we are safe, it is like to sign new players, but we are looking forward to sign others because we want to keep our best players.”
Kiyovu are sixth in the National Football League table with 32 points, 15 points behind leaders, APR FC with three games left to the end of the season.
