Dear editor,
I would like to like to remind all Rwandans that next year’s U-20 African youth championship to be hosted in Kigali is for us (Rwandans) not just for Ferwafa or the Ministry of Sports.

It’s us Rwandans who will be answerable for the poor preparations or anything bad which might tarnish the image of our country.

I therefore call upon every Rwandan whether he/she is in the country or abroad to provide his/her services to the successfully running of the event.

We should exhibit volunteerism at next year’s tournament. We should not ask for any penny because everything which will be done will be fruitful to our country.

Our country’s image will keep on improving if you and I acted as volunteers in the preparations for this African championship.

We should not leave every task to either Ferwafa or the Sport Ministry but let’s help them to do some services and I believe they need me and you to join them so as to prepare for this event.

To remind you, seven countries will join Rwanda in the final tournament which will be held from January 18 to February 1, 2009.
