Ecobank Rwanda, a prominent financial institution, has been forced to halt its operations at the headquarters temporarily. The cause of this disruption was a fire that ravaged three stories of the building on Tuesday, October 24.

Ecobank Rwanda addressed the situation, emphasizing its commitment to the safety and well-being of its staff and customers.
A statement released by the bank reads: "The safety and well-being of staff and customers are of utmost importance to us. We want to ensure our customers that they can still access the bank’s services through digital channels or any of our branches across the country, apart from the head office branch and offices."

The flames, which tore through the structure, left visible destruction in their wake, particularly on electrical installations and ceilings.
The precise origins of the incident remain unknown, although a thorough investigation is underway, as confirmed by bank officials.
