Rwanda’s U15 team has started preparations for the CECAFA U-15 championship due in Uganda from November 4-18.
This year's tournament will take place at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
The junior wasps on Monday, October 24, joined a residential camp at La Palisse Hotel in Nyamata, Bugesera District.

The team is under the guidance of Musanze gaffer Sosthene Habimana who will be assisted by Justin Bisengimana. They had their first training session on Monday evening at Bugera Stadium.
A 23-player squad was summoned to join the camp which started with 20 players while Cedrick Mutangwa, Elie Ishimwe and Abdouladhim Hategekimana will join the camp later as they representing the country at the Bayern Munich Youth Cup World Final that concluded in Munich, Germany on October 23.

The last CECAFA U15 edition was held in 2019 in Asmara, Eritrea. Uganda won the tournament after beating Kenya in the final.
It is scheduled that the team will leave for Njeru on November 2, two days before kickoff.
CECAFA U15 gives young players the opportunity to compete at the international level, specifically helping them to prepare for the qualifiers of the U-17 AFCON next year.

Defenders: Isiaka Akonkwa Cyuzuzo (Spring Hope), Moustakim Ukwibishaka (The Winners), Jean Christophe Iradukunda (The Winners), Mutabazi Buhari(Nilisarike Academy) and Angelo Ndahimana (Ushindi).
Midfielders: Patrick Gisubizo (Umuri Fondation), Nelson Irumva (Rwinkwavu), Eric Hagengimana (Nilisarike Academy), Elie Ishimiwe (Tsindawe Batsinde), Olivier Babizerimana (The Winners), Jean Claude Dushime (KEFA), Taufick Manzi (Amigo), Rene Uwineza (Intare), Fred Ishimwe (Mahembe) and Celestin Nshimiyimana Kazungu (The Winners).
