Patriots vs UGB 6pm
Patriots Basketball Club and United Generation Basketball (UGB) will square-off this evening at NPC Gymnasium with the winner going top of the national basketball league table.
Both sides are tied on 17 points from ten games but Patriots are top courtesy of a better game average.
Patriots lost to UGB in the first-leg and will be looking for revenge as well as maintaining the winning streak, according to coach Cyrille Kalima.
"It’s a must-win clash, we are aware that the winner will stand an advantage in the title race. My players are fit and ready to put up a strong fight,” Kalima told Times Sport yesterday.
In a separate interview, UGB power forward Brave Rutsindintwarane warned his colleagues against complacency, calling for focus and determination.
"We are facing a solid side, we have to be very wise and vigilant otherwise unwanted mistakes can lead to a negative result. We are in good form and I believe beating Patriots is possible,” Rutsindintwarane said.
Elsewhere, on Saturday, University of Rwanda- College of Arts and Social Sciences (UR-CASS) will host neighbours IPRC-South at Huye Campus gymnasium.
IPRC-Kigali will take on struggling 30-Plus, Cercle Sportif de Kigali will entertain UR-College of Education (UR-CoE) while reigning champions Espoir will host Rusizi at Amahoro indoor stadium.
