Film too can help us tell the Rwanda story

Editor, I would like to react to the story, “Movie review: The 1994 Genocide movies you should watch” (The New Times, April 10). Assuming you are talking about historically correct (which is good) three films only.

Editor,

I would like to react to the story, "Movie review: The 1994 Genocide movies you should watch” (The New Times, April 10)

Assuming you are talking about historically correct (which is good) three films only.

Also this article would have been better if it attempted to explain the real facts/errors in all these films and documentaries. Please visit the following link: http://bit.ly/1NtIxey.

I have always faulted the National Commission for the fight against the Genocide for not supporting local filmmakers (industry) to do our own films.

President Paul Kagame is always calling on us to tell our own story. The commission could launch a selection process for concept of movies. This would assist the local film making industry (which by the way is a good way to encourage local films) to own our own story.
