Rwanda Football Association (FERWAFA) has announced it’s on a search for a national football team assistant coach to assist with the planning, implementation and improvement of the programmes for the national senior and U-23 teams.
According to a statement posted on the FERWAFA website, yesterday, the assistant coach is expected to assist with data collection, analysis and feedback of player monitoring, readiness to train, conditioning, training and match loads for national team players as well as scouting and identifying young talented players and integrate them into the national team set-up.
Amavubi head coach Johnny McKinstry said that, "All I am interested in is someone who is capable of doing the job right because we have a very busy schedule coming up.”
The assistant coach is expected to take up an active role in the identification and monitoring of players, including taking responsibility for players plying their trade overseas, to ensure that when they are drafted into the national team, they are fit and can actively participate.
